Bonding Checklist for SPD Projects
A field checklist before energizing new SPDs.
Before commissioning
- Main earthing bar accessible and labeled
- SPD PE landed on the same bar / bonding network as the board
- No painted joints without proper electrical bond
- Cable armor and trays bonded
- LPS and electrical earth interconnection verified
After storms
Re-check bolted bonds and SPD status windows. Mechanical vibration and thermal cycling loosen connections over years.
