Protec AMES is a maintenance free and economical earthing solution that uses 250 microns copper clad rods with Protec ASEM. The system eliminates the requirements to construct deep hole earthing systems and also reduces the number of earth pits required on a site to achieve a low ohm earthing system.
The construction can be used to design earthing systems for electrical/electronic loads, lightning protection systems, generators, transformers etc. The top end of electrode has a terminal plate of 150x50x5mm exothermically welded for extending load connection. The AMES electrode is installed in the earth by placing it in a 75-100mm hole of about 3Mtr deep into the soil. This hole is generously packed with low resistivity, non-soluble, environmental friendly and stable Protec ASEM.
The system is supplied with a Test Well having a specially-engineered locking facility. In areas where the cost of digging Protec AMES can be placed horizontally in a 300mm deep trench by making appropriate arrangement at site. The AMES electrode can be used as stand alone or in a tripod configuration or as part of multielectrode grounding system with necessary bonding arrangement
